ADVISORY COMMITTEES OF HIGHLAND LAKES:

The Highland Lakes Board of Directors, by virtue of its Bylaws and general policy, is advised by standing committees and from time to time, ad hoc committees that conduct useful research and provide information in the decision making process covering a broad range of issues. These committees exist for the betterment of Highland Lakes and are also a forum for resident representation and suggestions.

Highland Lakes has a variety of committees for all aspects of operation. Committee membership is open only to co-owners of Highland Lakes, and a certain number of meetings (usually 3 consecutive) must be attended in order for that member to vote. Each committee meets on a monthly basis, typically in the evening for about an hour, and discusses topics related to that specific committee. Upon a vote of the majority of the committee members, topics of discussion may be transformed into formal proposals for the Board of Directors which, in turn, will pass the resolution or authorize the action.
