**NO DOOR-TO-DOOR SOLICITATION AS POSTED ON OUR ENTRANCE SIGNS AND IN OUR POLICY.

BYLAWS, RULES AND REGULATIONS:

The current Bylaws and "Consolidated Master Deed" that serve as the basis for governance of Highland Lakes originated with issues discussed in weekly meetings of the first HLCA member Board in February of 1976, and were ultimately adopted and recorded on January 18, 1984 in the Wayne County Records. The bylaws were updated and amended, then recorded in February, 2013.  New co-owners of Highland Lakes are encouraged to obtain copies of 1) the Master Deed, 2) Bylaws, and 3) Co-Owner's Manual, from the clubhouse when filling out their initial "census form" which provides contact information to the Association and will result in the issuance of a Highland Lakes I.D.

When clicking on any of the various links below remember, first and foremost, that this is a condominium community including common grounds shared by all. Neighborhood rules, policies, schemes, etc. are adhered to for the good of the community and at times may appear to be stringent to a typical homeowner. If this is your first experience with condominium living, we encourage you to read these documents prior to purchase. Issues such as parking, picking up after your pet, or modifications to your home, for instance, are all covered under these rules. Monthly assessments and voting power, typical of any condominium community, are computed according to percentages outlined in the Master Deed. Prior to purchasing a condominium, please call the office and inquire as to the amount of the assessment on that particular condominium and remember that heat and water are included as part of your monthly assessment.
